Our Work
At the Adeola Ajayi Foundation, we are committed to empowering underprivileged children in Africa by using basketball as a platform for personal growth, skill development, and community building. Through our annual basketball camp and community outreach, we aim to provide lasting opportunities that extend beyond the court.
Annual Basketball Camp
Our cornerstone program is the annual basketball camp, held in Sango Ota, for children ages 4-17 who demonstrate a need and a desire to learn. Each year, the camp brings together professional coaches, mentors, and educators to create a safe and supportive environment where children can grow as individuals and athletes.
During the camp, we provide:
- All necessary equipment: Every child receives proper-fitting jerseys, shorts, socks, and tennis shoes, ensuring they are ready to play and focus on learning.
- Facility improvements: Charitable donations allow us to maintain and improve the camp’s facilities, ensuring they are safe and fully operational.
- Meals and beverages: We supply nutritious meals and drinks to sustain the children throughout the camp.
- Expert coaching and mentoring: A team of professional coaches, teachers, and mentors lead the children through drills, scrimmages, and competitions, helping them sharpen their basketball skills while building confidence and discipline.
Our basketball camp goes beyond skill development—it’s a celebration of community. With live music, entertainment, and even a free barber on-site, the camp is a festival that brings the entire community together.

Community Outreach and Impact
Beyond basketball, the Adeola Ajayi Foundation is dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of local families. With the support of our donors, we extend our efforts to uplift the community each year through various initiatives.
Recent community projects include:
- Building a community well: Thanks to our donors, we were able to install a well at the school where the camp is hosted, providing clean, free water to the entire community—eliminating the need for families to walk long distances or pay for water.
- Providing food and essential supplies to families in need: In 2024, we donated over 2,755 pounds of rice and 50 liters of cooking oil to families facing extreme poverty, helping to ensure they have access to basic nutrition. We also donated 250 tote bags to children in the community to carry their school supplies, as well as slides and other shoes to children not attending the camp, ensuring more kids have proper footwear.
- Supporting vulnerable households: Our work also includes supporting specific families in need. For example, we recently provided a queen-size mattress to a 90-year-old woman who had never owned a bed, giving her and her family a place to sleep comfortably.
