Uplifting whole families

Recent community projects
Two community wells
In April 2024, Dr. Jacqueline Walters, Curtis Berry and AOA gifted a borehole to the children of Sango Ota and the community, at the camp's host school. A second well followed at Noble Court in 2025. Together they provide clean, free water, so families no longer walk long distances or pay for water.
Food for families
In 2024 we donated 2,755+ lb of rice and 50 L of cooking oil to families facing extreme poverty. In 2020, when the pandemic paused camp, AOA ran a food drive instead.
Footwear for more children
Slides and shoes for children not attending camp, so more kids have proper footwear.
Vulnerable households
Direct help such as a queen-size mattress for a 90-year-old woman who had never owned a bed, plus visits to an orphanage home and to widows in the community.
